What is your name? Do you use a pen name
(if so, why?)?
I chose to use my own name because it was
nice to see my name on my achievement. I did however think about a pen name to
help with promotion but in the end decided on my name.
What type of genre do you write?
Genre/s paranormal, horror, romance,
ghosts.
What genre to you personally read?
All the above J
Tell me about your latest?
My latest book is book 2 in my Cursed
Trilogy. It’s called Obsession and takes you on an emotional journey through
Daisy’s university experience.
What sparked your passion for books and the
art of a good story?
I loved escaping into stories when I read
them and after writing a story for a school assignment and getting a good mark
I had all these other ideas and just started writing!
Is there a particular book that changed or
affected your life in a big way?
The one book I always remember from
childhood books is The Carver by Jenny Jones (Point Horror).
Is there a message in your book that you
want readers to grasp?
Not really, just want them to escape like I
did.
What challenges have you faced in your
writing career?
Writers block has been a problem sometimes.
I would have a free weekend and want to do some writing but just not been in
the mood to write or have sat down at my laptop and just thought “how to
continue?” even though I know how to continue.
What has been your best moment as a writer?
Holding my first ever book in my hands and
feeling the pride once I received my reviews.
Who is your author idol?
Lauren Kate
Do you see yourself in any of your
characters?
Yes my main character Daisy. Her
personality is similar to mine.
Do you feel like your dream has come true
or is there much more to do?
Yes I do, I always wanted to release my
book and have people enjoy it and that’s happened, now I just want it to
continue J
What does your workspace look like?
I don’t have one sole workspace as I use my
laptop but my desk I did plan on using is cluttered with promotional material.
Have you ever had a day when you just
wanted to quit?
No
What do you do when you’re not writing?
I am either working, watching films, at the
gym or sleeping!
What are the most important attributes to
remaining sane as a writer?
Not to be sane hehe. To believe in anything
with an open mind.
Did you have a moment when you realized you
were meant to be a writer?
No I don’t think, I’ve always enjoyed
writing and just knew one day I would actually release my books.
What advice would you give to aspiring
authors?
Keep at it and try and make friends with
other writers and readers and we are a friendly bunch and willing to help other
first time authors.
After this book, what is next?
The last book in the Trilogy, Absolution.
