Now for my blog post. My second last book was Vampire of Brazil (in both English and Portuguese). In high school I was an exchange student in Brazil for six months. I stayed with a family that I still call my family to this day. Well, my 'cousin' found me on Facebook and asked me to write a book for her and she didn't speak English. So, I took a picture of her and started weaving my story. Many of the things in the book are actually true. The cemeteries, her favorite colors, set in the city of Rio de Janiero where she lives and then there's some Egyptian Mythology included just to spice it up.
Blurb:
A young woman from Rio de Janiero, Brazil wakes up in a mausoleum to find herself all alone with no memory. When the vampire Thomas rescues her, he treats her like the child he never had. However, when Ranato comes into Christiane’s life, she knows she’s in love and leaves Thomas. Is Ranato all that he seems to be or does he have a more sinister plan for her? Will other forces help her or work against her? Will she be able to stay alive and find true happiness? Do you like Egyptian mythology? Then this book is for you.
You can get it here on Amazon. It is also available on most other channels as well.
Would you like to know more about me?
- I am published both traditionally and independently.
- I've published well over fifteen books and I always write about vampires (besides my husband...they are my muses).
- My idol is Anne Rice, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and she was humble, sweet, kind and friendly.
- I still enjoy my memories of Brazil and hope to go back one day.
- I am the owner of an online magazine which can be found here. The ezine takes horror and paranormal stories. We are always looking for submissions (just for exposure...no one gets paid here) but my little project has grown and grown now with it's all very own website (with the help of so many others).
- I've organized and published a few charity books where all the money goes to that charity. Some of them are the ASPCA, St. Jude and the Alzheimers Association (which hit close to home for many of us).
- I am bipolar and wrote a non-fiction book/memoir called Inside My Head to hopefully help others.
- Last but not least, after many years of searching, in 2009 I found the man of my dreams, my best friend, my soul soldier and my muse.
